  • Vienna Ensemble pro 4 only recognizes part of my installed library

Hi, Long time VSL user here!

Updated my VE pro 4 and now I can't see half my installed library??

I removed all folders from Directory manager and put them back in manually but that didn't do the trick either!

I have the Symphonic cube library and Jazz drums.

    Please help

    thanks

  • By the way my Vienna instruments recognizes the whole library!!!!

    Hi,

That's very strange. Latest update for VE PRO 4 has been out for a very long time (2011?).

I'd uninstall all VSL components and install the latest versions again.

It would also be a good time to upgrade to VE PRO 6.

    Best,
    Paul

  • THanks for the quick reply Paul,

I did a fresh install of all latest softwares already. here is the strange thing, I re-installed the solo strings just to see if VE pro needed the package.info file again and viola, the solo strings were found but I just don't want to spend the whole day re-installing my entire library (God knows how many DVDs LOL).

  • Hi,

The package.info file is only important for the installation.

    Try this:

Open the Directory Manager (find it in "Applications" (OS X) or "All Programs" (Win) => then "Vienna Instruments").

Remove all folders - then add all sample content again by drag and drop from your Finder/Explorer.

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul, I mentioned in my first post that this was the first thing I did.

    Sorry

  • I have to mention that I did all the folders at once (Not the single contents in folders) does it make a difference?

  • Hi,

Can you please send screenshots of what you see to support@vsl.co.at, with a short reference to this thread?

    Thanks,
