  • Event Input dropouts VEPro6

Can anyone tell me why this is working intermittenly?

Is this a know problem on Windows 10/64 and Cubase 9.0.1?

I am trying to use one large instance, rather than a bunch of them. To do that, I need access to more than 1 port with only 16 midi channels.

Is there another way to do this without using the event input vst?

    Thanks

In Cubase, it seems that all the x64 VEPro plugins are VST 2.4, and the 32bit ones are VST3.6.5. Is that correct?

  • Hi,

The VE PRO plug-in is available as a VST 3 plug-in in Cubase (///), so you can use up to 48 ports in one instance.
I'd reinstall if those VST 3 versions do not show up.

  • Thanks Paul. They do show up, but they are not the x64bit ones? Confusing to me...

  • Hi Synetos,

The VE PRO Plug-in "only" connect to VE PRO, so there is no need for it to be 64 bit.

Sorry for the confusion, hope everything works the way you want  it to work.

  • Thanks Paul. I connected with that and it makes sense now. It is just an interface that is connecting to the 64-bit server host. The confusion was the app with the x64 in the name, making me think I had to use that in order to take advantage of the 128GB of ram in my computer. I see that doesnt appear to be the case. This solves the issue and will be much better for what I am trying to do with my instance templates. Thanks!
