  • VEP6 not showing the Instrument tab

    Hello,

In Vienna Ensemble Pro 6, when I delete an instrument (Vienna Instrument or others like Kontakt), systematically the Instrument tab disappears and I can't enable it anymore (F4 or click on the menu doesn't work at all). The only solution to have it again, is to create a new Vienna Instrument : then the tab opens and I'm focused on it.

I don't remember since when I have this problem, but I hadn't it with VE Pro 5. The problem is so obvious that I hoped it would have been known then fixed on a release, and I was patient. But it's so annoying I finally decide to inform you (next time, I will do it the first day 😊 ) . Am I the only one with this problem ?

    Thanks,

    Matthieu

PS : I have the latest Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 release, with MIR Pro and Vienna Instruments Pro. I work on Cubase 7.5, on Windows 10 (64bits). If you need more informations, tell me.

  • Hello Matthieu,

If there is no instrument instance of a plug-in inserted anymore, the instrument display disappears, to save resources.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume this does not happen if another Vienna Instruments instance is still available in VE PRO.

  • Thank you for your answer.

Sorry, I surely didn't explain the problem well enough. Actually I always have 50 or more Vienna Instruments Pro instances loaded, so it's not normal I can't have the Instrument tab.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the reply. What happens if you click "Reset Windows" in the "View" menu?

  • Nothing, After that, I still can't open the Instrument tab via F4 or View Menu.

  • Hi,

I see. Can you please send me the Server Project to check on my computer? support@vsl.co.at
