  • D patches in Sibelius presets

When I try to load a SIbelius Single instrument standard library preset for say Flute I I get all red cells because it can't find the patches with the D labels (e.g., 01D FL1 staccato, etc.).  What are these D patches and where are they?  If I load from the full instrument, then all is fine but the patch names don't have the D in it (e.g., 01 FL1...)

This problem happens for all the Single instrument standard library presets that are labeled D35 through D80.

  • Hello dbudde!

I have seen in our records that you didn't register the Flute I Standard Single Instrument. That's why you can't load this preset. You have registered the Woodwinds I Standard and extended Instrument collection though, which includes the Flute I. That's why you can load the VI presets from the folder Sibelius/Woodwinds+Brass 2.5/Woodwinds 1.

D stands for Download. The Single Instruments were originally called Single Download instruments.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • I see.  So this is just a naming convention you used to differentiate library licenses.

    Thanks.
