  • HIRING AN ORCHESTRATOR for a song (in MIDI file format)

    Hi there,

I am writing in hopes to find someone who can orchestrate a midi of 'The Prayer.' I had a custom arrangement made and now need someone to put the insturment patches over the midi file to make it sound like a real orchestra is playing. It's only 6 insturments: Harp, Grand Piano, Drumps, Clarinet, Solo Violin and Solo Cello. The song will be used at my wedding ceremy. So it is very important to me. I've hired people over the years to do similar things for different events, so I know it can be done.

If anyone is interested and skilled at doing this, then reach out to me at chadmurnane@mac.com. I am a perfectonist, so I won't be happy until the song sounds perfect. So be reay to make adjustments (unless you nail it on the first go around). I DO have a price point in mind, so reach out to let me know if you are interested and we can chat further. In the past, I've paid around $100- $125 for this sort of project.

Thanks for reading this. Hope to hire someone soon!

    ...per hour?

    A) The marked words above makes me see red.

    B) The man who would do this job for the amount does unfortunately not own VSL-Libraries, I believe.

For having an idea: When I was producing music with samples (10 years ago) I calculated "3minutes of music = 3 days of work" ... and this for an ensemble with the size of "chamber".

Nevertheless, I wish you good luck for finding  somebody and a nice wedding ceremony as well of course!
