  • How to install *.vmi files

    Hi!

    I have dovnloded and installed serveral *.vmi files before and saved the *.vmi files on an extern hard disc. Now I want to install thoses *.vmi files on a new Mac without to download them again (since I have them on a hard disc). How can I install thoses files? I have tried with Library installer but that didn't work.

    Hello Ketil, 

    Those *.vmi files are already extracted and don't need to be installed anymore, they are the format of the RoomPack files for MIR PRO. 

    On a new Mac, make sure that your MIR PRO Preferences point to the folder that holds your *.vmi files and your RoomPacks will be available within MIR PRO.

    Thank you!

    But one more question. I see the file MIRx-Venue_Konzerthaus-MozartSaal.dat is 262 MB but the file Vienna_Konzerthaus_GrosserSaal_v2-r285.vmi is 1,32 GB. Does the VI use the *.vmi files after installation?

    Hello Ketil, 

    MIRx and MIR PRO are 2 different products (technically), those files do not depend on each other.
