  • [SOLVED]Huge MIR Pro Output format issue

I don't know what's happening here with MIR now.

I'm using MIR Pro plugin (last update) in Cubase 9 (master PC). VE Pro6 on slave PC. Stereo setup in Cubase.

When opening any Cubase project with MIR Pro plugin involved, I get an error message about channel configuration. Nothing has changed in the master PC setup here, I just recently updated RME Madi to last version but I guess it has nothing to see with. After clicking ok on error message window, MIR crashes ("unhandled exception") with as many stacked error messages as the number of loaded instruments. I even once got a huge white noise on Cubase right channel @ full scale, making me jump on my monitoring mute button...

I tried to launch MIR Pro as standalone. Opening a MIR project gives quite the same result (first error message) and it doesn't load anything then.  I tried to reinstall MIR or to go back to some older version with no success.

    Any idea ?

    Hi jajajam,

Did you check that you have installed all the latest versions of our software (both MIR PRO and VE PRO)?

You can send the crash dump files to support@vsl.co.at:
    C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\VSL\Vienna Ensemble Pro\crashdumps\app

=> This folder is a hidden system folder, make sure that you see it: Organize => Folder and Search Options => "View" Tab.

Best to include such a Cubase project too. If it's over 5 MB, please send via wetransfer or similar services.

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Thank you for your quick reply. I just sent you the crash dump files, I'll have a look to send you some project. BTW I tried with projects from within one year, they all worked perfectly before.

Last updates here, VEpro 6.0.16068 - MIR 5.4.15964
I tried to go back to MIR 5.4.15859 with no changes.

    Best,
    Alain

  • I finally figured it out. Some weird things here and there but it seems to go back to norma nowl. Looks like I got some conflicts with some different VST2 VEpro dlls left in different folders. It worked with C8.5 so I went to some VST folders cleanup and C9 is ok now...

Output format is gone, hopefully. I'm scanning old projects to be sure about...

    Best,
    Alain

  • Hi Alain,

That's great, I was just about to look into it!
