    Hi there,

    latest VEP6 update crash while loading my template. After several attempt I had to go back to "Vienna Ensemble Pro 6.0.16068" and now everything works again. Here there's some crashlogs. Thanks

    These are all Kontakt crashes, please contact NI directly.

    Hi Paul,

    I will but if the previous version of VEP6 wasn't crashing, I'm afraid there's a problem with VEP6.

    For your info and as far as I'm concerned, my Kontakt version (5.6.8) is the latest release version according to Native Access so … I don't really know what to say apart that I can't install the latest VEP version.

    Hi Dan, 

    VE PRO 6 is a new software from the gound up, with many advantages. This also includes different hosting approaches. 

    If a plug-in that is inserted in a host crashes, there is little that can be done on the host side... With Kontakt libraries, it's mostly scripted programs that crash.

    I understand what you say but I respectfully disagree with the logic of your explanation, sorry.

    IF kontakt would crash all the time, you'd be absolutely right. But my template ONLY crash with latest update so, something has been changed within VEP6 to cause this reproducible crash. And I swear my template is still the same and it's loadable as usual on v 6.0.16068

    For this reasons I honestly don't even know where to start to fix this misbehaviour, apart avoiding to update this VEP6 version. Unless you've a better idea about it. :)

    Hey Danilo, 

    I had also an open case (225842) because of VEP6 crashs on OS X 10.12.6 with external plugins. In my case, I can reproduce it by starting VEP6 with a blank instance and put an external sampler in it (ESW Play, Kontakt, etc.) and the next click in the MIR Pro window crashs the VEP Server. 

    Since this (6.0.16178) is my first Version of VEP6, I never considered an "downgrade" to 6.0.16068. But after I read your post, I tried it. And I can confirm, that with Version 6.0.16068 I can load ESW Play and Kontakt without a problem.

    I will put a reference to the topic into my support case and I recommend you to do it also.

    Hey Danilo,

    I got an reply to my ticket. It seems that my issue is not linked to yours. There is a know bug with MIR crashing on Mac. I can mittigate it by undocking and docking the MIR window. Then ESW Play is working fine.

    The support engineer wrote that the are now looking into the Kontakt crash, and why Kontakt is only crashing under this version of VEP.
