    Hi All,

    Looking through my Vienna sample libraries I notice that some have the .dat file extension & some others have the .cab file extension.

    Is this usual, does anybody know please?

    Hi, 

    *.cab files are the installation files (highly compressed), which are turned into *.dat files after installation. 

    You can delete alle *.cab files, once the installation is done (you always have access to those installation files).

    I deleted the .cab files after the .dat files were installed. All is well now!
