  • VEP6 instance preferences not available

I'm trying to turn on auto raise in VEP6 instances, but when I click on the gear on the upper right, it doesn't bring up the preference pane. A small grey box appears over the first few letters of Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 (just to the right of the buffer choice pulldown).

I am reinstalling everything on my system from scratch, having just had a new ssd installed in my iMac (2012 i7, 3.4 ghz, 32 gig ram)

I tried reinstalling VEP6 but the issue remains.

I'm in Logic X, running the latest versions of Logic and VEP6 and on OSX 10.12.6

    thank you!

  • Hi Doug999,

Please send a screenshot of what you see to support@vsl.co.at

Do you have any customized visual settings for your monitor?

  • Hi,

Thanks for reporting, sorry about the delay.

I can confirm your finding and have informed our development team. Please expect a fix with one of the next udpates (busy times here at Vienna).

  • thank you Paul

  • Sorry just seeing this now, thought I'd sent an email about it. Glad to hear it's on the radar and look forward to the fix! In the meantime, what strategy might be best for dealing with keeping track of VEP6 instances? Naming them each time seems like it would be a real workflow speedbump. THe only thing I've done so far is try to keep them ordered same as in the DAW (Logic for the most part). Not foolproof by any means, but all I've thought of so far.

    thanks!

  • Wow, lightning fast fix, just downloaded last update and the preferences are there... sincerely admired, thank you!
