  • Error starting VI

I'm getting a lot of this errors starting Vienna Instruments:

    "Error starting audio:

    Can't create i/o buffers"

It happens with Vienna Imperial Player too. My setup is an UR22 mkII on Win10.

Firmware and drivers are the latest. Restarting VI does work, but closing and reopening causes error quite always.

    Any suggestion?

  • Hi,

Unfortunately those Standalone Players show this message upon each startup on some setups.

My suggestion: Use Vienna Ensemble as a standalone host for all Sample Players.

    Sorry about the inconvenience!

    Best,
    Paul

  • Thank you Paul,

in fact using VI and Imperial either in VE or Cubase does not generate errors. It is not a big problem, but using often Imperial I get this issue every day. I hoped in some kind of "one-click-solution" :)

  • Hi,

Glad to hear that you're using our products every day!

The Standalone versions are actually not used a lot, that's probably how these bugs crept in.

Hope we can fix this soon, one way or another!

    Best,
    Paul
