It was running for a while after I removed preferences but of course the plugin preset crash has not gone, which I believe would require an update from someone, i.e. the plugin or host developer (this is not specific to Cubase).
Now, since I changed the name of the Instance, each time I load Cubase it tries to load another instance, thus I get Not Responding yet again.
When I save a Cubase project with no connection to VEP, and then try to connect, it crashes. It also crashes when there is no instance and Cubase loads data into VEP.
Is there any reason for the instability and inability to use various methods to access the Mixing Host software?
Decouple Instance, allowed me to fully load project data from Cubase but of course VEP is not responding. I am also getting black screens and complete system hangs with the only solution a cold shutdown.
One thing I would like to know, do VSL have access to Microsoft error reports or is the onus on the end user to provide?
I am rather suspicious because while I can get it to work, and keep it operating for fairly long periods of time I can also make it crash very easily and this would appear to warrant an update because people will literally be forced to upgrade their OS, which consequently brings improvements to Cubase at least, e.g. editing the tempo map in real time is more stable.
