How do I remove previous Server Projects from “Open Recent Server Project
-
Hi, I have the same question and like you get no answer François
Hello! I actually discovered how to do this on the Mac. It’s a “hidden” file located in your Home/Library/Preferences folder. You have to make it “visible”. Do a search if you don’t know how. I dragged the file to my desktop and rebooted and voila! The Server Presets are gone. Now if you just need to get rid of certain pre-saved Project files that’s a different story. You would need to modify this file or wait for Vienna to update the software to give it this currently unavailable ability.

Hi Adiaz, I got this answer from the VSL team : For deleting the recently opened VE Pro projects list, please erase "at.co.vsl.Vienna Ensemble Pro.plist" from Macintosh HD/Users/#username#/Library/Preferences/, then relaunch VE Pro. François
Thanks! That’s what I did. What would be nice is the ability to delete saved file names no longer needed.

Thanks! That’s what I did. What would be nice is the ability to delete saved file names no longer needed.It is possible to delete only certain entries such as saved files no longer needed, but still in the list. I recommend using an app called TextWrangler for best precision. You can get it from the Apple AppStore.
Make sure your Vienna Ensemble Pro (Server) is closed before proceeding!
Find the specified file in the specified location above and open it with TextWrangler. Then scroll down until you find a line named:
<key>recentFileList</key>
Below that you'll see an array of all recent projects/instances used. There will be a similar line for the Server projects names followed by another array of entries corresponding to your server projects. It will look something like this:
<key>server.recentFileList</key>
<array>
<string>/Volumes/YourHardDiskName/FolderName/SubfolderName/ProjectName.vesp64</string>Delete the lines of text corresponding to your project file names that you want gone off the list. You'll recognize them easy as they end with .vesp64 extension (if you are using the 64-bit version of VE Pro) and are surrounded by <string>...........</string>. You can delete the entries by tripple clicking within each line and pressing delete on your keyboard. Within TextWrangler each line of text is numbered over to the left, so alternatively you could single click that line number which will highlight the entire line and then hit delete.
Save the file (Command-S) and close it. Relaunch VE Pro and the Recent List will be updated.
