  • Using MirPro as a plugin...

    Hello!

I created a project where I used MirPro as a plugin with "mono to mono" on each instance.

Is there any possibility to change all project to "stereo to stereo" without changing the structure, name and position of all instruments on the stage, without manually doing on each instance?

    Thanks in advance

    Alex

  • Hello Rasound,

this depends partly on the host you were using. Please let us know some more details ... :-)

    Kind regards,

  • thank you Dietz for the quick response ,

I'm just using the latest VEPro 6 and MirPro (Slave PC) in Windows 10 via Anydesk to Logic X pro in Mac OS

  • I see - sorry, I don't have access to Logoc X at the moment, so I can't supply a step-by-step solution right now. But I think it should be possible to load user-defined "Track Presets" (or whatever they're called in Logic) independently from the track's channel format.

... maybe someone else can chime in with first-hand information ...?

  • Oh wait ... so you meant to say that you're using a MIR Pro mono-plugin in VE Pro ...? 8-/

  • Yes, I use MirPro Plug-in (not internal MirPro) and I need to do it inside Vienna Enseble Pro 6 -NOT in Logic

  • Hi Rasound,

    May I ask - Why?

You can also send your Logic project to support@vsl.co.at, so that we can have a look at it.

  • as I wrote above I just created template in VEP 6 where I used MirPro as a external plug-in "mono to mono" to put all instruments into one stage and now I would like simple to change every MirPro Plug-in to "stereo to stereo" that all, sure I can do this separately (manualy), but I'm looking for a way to do this for all instances at once.

    @Paul

I don't know if there is a huge difference to use Vienna samples on MirPro plug-in as mono to mono or stereo to stereo, therefore I'm not sure if I'm on the right way:)

  • Hi Rasound,

Please send your Logic File to support@vsl.co.at, so I can take a look.

I don't think that MIR PRO even actually works in mono to mono, but this option cannot be "greyed" out.

Can you hear that you're working in mono?

    Paul

  • Hi Paul the Logic project I have not started yet, just few test connection, so there is nothing to send. I'm just focus on VEPro 6 only to get all instruments into one MiR- stage.

Regarding your question, whether I can hear that I working on Mono source, well, I can't hear any difference between two MiRpro-presets: "mono to mono" or "stereo to stereo", probably when the project will ready I'll be able to hear some difference.

may I ask you which Mir Pro setting do you usually use under VEPro: FX ~ VSL ~ Vienna Mir pro: "mono to mono", "mono to stereo" or "stereo to stereo"?  ...except you need 5.1 sound at the end.

    best,

    Alex

  • Hi,

I didn't have the time to check 100% yet, but stereo to stereo is the normal configuration (and I strongly believe that MIR PRO is inserted this way when you choose another configuration like mono to mono).

I don't think that it is possible to change the settings of all MIR PRO plug-ins at once, you'd have to do that manually.

    Best,
    Paul
