  • [SOLVED] Vienna Suite Pro not Loading into Logic Pro in High Sierra

I apologize if there is already a thread for this but I didn't see one.  I recently upgraded to High Sierra even though it is still incredibly new.  So far most things work they way I expect them to, but I find that my Vienna Suite Pro Plug Ins (all of them) are no longer loading in Logic Pro X - they don't show as an available option in the plug-in menu, but all of my other Vienna products do, including Vienna Suite, and all the products from other developers.  I tried reinstalling Vienna Suite Pro but it did not fix it.  I tried deleting the plug-in cache to force a rescan of all the plug-ins but the Vienna Suite Pro plug-ins still do not appear in Logic Pro X.  They do show up in Vienna Ensemble.

    I am running:

Vienna Suite Pro 2.0.3185 for Mac

    Logic Pro 10.3.2

    High Sierra 10.13.1

    Vienna Ensemble Pro 6.0.16502

    Does anyone have a recommendation?

  • Hi Ahansen,

Please install the macOS High Sierra Compatibility Layer from the Software Installers section of MyVSL - this will take care of this issue!

    Best, Marnix

  • Thank you marnix.  The High Sierra Compatability Layer did resolve the issue.  Good as new!

    Thanks all.

  • Hi,

I'm having the same issue, but I can't find the "High Sierra Compatability Layer" installer in myVSL software tab.  Is it available somehwere else?

    Thanks,

    Alex

  • I can't find it either! Would be great if someone could point me in the right direction :) Thanks

  • Hi all,

The Compatibility Layer is in fact not required anymore with the latest Vienna Suite Pro build from MyVSL!

    Best, Marnix

  • Hello!

I still have the same issue as described in the OP, even though I upgraded to the last version of Vienna Ensemble Pro, 6.0.17011.

Newest Macbook Pro, High Sierra, latest VEP. Component file is in the right folder, but Logic doesnt recognize it..

    Any ideas?
