I am arranging for the New European Jazz Collective (NEJC) again, for the opening of the Museum Night, in the Netherlands.
The samples are great but I was wondering; that it would be absolutely fabulous to completely sample the NEJC in order to get a consistent sound pallet.
Now I, and all arrangers alike can make a selection (the dimension trumpets, trombones + some saxophones as the base and further adding some my own custom libraries - my double bass, piano and drumkit - for the rythm section) and come pretty close to a good sounding arrangement, but I miss the consistency.
Thus, we can come really far but is it worth considering to make a special VSL Big Band Edition? (I can help organizing it!)
