  • How are you using MIR?

Is anyone who has hundreds of tracks in their template running MIR Pro? If so, how are you doing it?

I am setting up a new template (Logic Pro and VE PRO) and I am trying to figure out the best way to do it in terms of how to route everything through MIR PRO? Should I route everything through MIR Pro or just the Orchestral instruments? I realize I can do what I want, just curious what people recommend who have been using MIR PRO (or MIR 24) for a while as I am new to MIR PRO.

    Any tips greatly appreciated!

    Felix

  • I use mir pro for everything, not just orchestral instruments. It works great for any genre really. I've used it for metal and it sounds good :) I just use the plug, don't have VEP.

  • Hi Composerguy78,

I'm not writing this answer as VSL co-developer, but as the freelancing music mixer I'm most of my remaining time. :-) MIR Pro per se is not tied to Vienna Instruments at all, it's just that the two applications "know" a lot about each other and work together beautifully, therefore. But I'm using MIR in about 75 percent of all my mixes, so I just name a few of them from quite diverse musical genres (all non-cassical). ... it might very well be that you don't like the music, but that's not the point right now ... ;-)
