  • VEP 6.0.16751 broke my Waves plugins

Rebuilt everything with shell2vst, and still only getting a few plugins to be recognized.

So frustrating! Why is this such an issue? What is so special about parsing Wave Shell Dll's?

  • So, I just tried something and may have found a workaround for anyone else running in to difficulties

It seems the extracted Dll's only work if they are at the root with the WavesShell Dll's

\VSTPlugIns works, but having the extracted Dll'd in \VSTPlugIns\WavesShell doesnt...even with the path added to the list in VST Settings

  • I have since given up on the VST2SHELL thing. Yes, it exposes the Waves plugins, but in a gaint pile. When you have basically every plugin installed that Waves makes, you end up with a crazy list that is kind of hard to navigate.

I have since moved to using Waves StudioRack.

VEP "sees" StudioRack without having to do any special extractions. Wonderfully, StudioRack sees all the installed Waves plugs, and organizes them in the proper grouping.

Perhaps it will be less frustrating going forward, for the few of us who want to use our Waves Plugins with VEP.
