  • Missing Ve Pro 6 Surround plugin in Logic Pro X

    Good day everyone,

    Just wanted to ask if any Logic users have the surround plugin in Logic Pro X. I have reinstalled the latest ve pro 6 and also tried older installers. None has the surround plugin installed. Ve Pro 5 has the surround plugin after installation tho.

    So, how do i get Ve Pro 6 Surround plugin to show up in Logic Pro X as it seems to be missing from the plugin list? Apparently in Studio One with VST3, the surround plugin is available. Possible Ve Pro 6 surround AU plugin was not included in the installer hence we don't see it?

    Running macOS 10.12.6, Logic 10.3.3 in Mac Pro 2012.

    If my memory is good :

    - You must first define Logic out as 5.1 or 7.1

    - You define your VE PRO(s) as 5.1 or 7.1

    -  you define the 5.1 or 7.1 in the setup of the VE PRO plug-ins in Logic

    - you attach at last

     

    I cannot check as am I am on Holiday and I not crazy enougth to bring my hudge VSL LIB with me ;)

    On holiday I use HSO ;)

    I tried as per your guide but could not get the surround plugin to show in the list.

    The weird thing is, the AU Vienna Ensemble Pro Event Input has the 5.1 option but not VEP 6 Pro.

    There is NO surround plug-ins, it is set in Logic and in VEP PRO AU

    You must set all your channels to "surround"

    Yup..i have all those set and you're correct, there's no surround VEP 6 Pro plug-in but....

    In VEP 5, we have surround plugin and there's was an update for VEP 6 in 2016 to fix the Broken AU plugin surround like below: 

    August 18, 2016

    VE PRO 6.0.15224

    • Improved: Raise function now also restores minimized windows

    • Improved: Color picker behavior

    • Fixed: Broken AU plugin surround support


    Perhaps VSL has removed the surround AU plugin and forgotten to add back into the installer or left it broken hahaha.

    So no  more inputs from logic users? Wonder how you guys work without the surround plug-in hahaha.

    Anyway, read that we're getting into 3D audio with Ve Pro..look forward to it when it out 😊
