  • VEPro 6 - Crash, Crash, Crash!

Ive been using VEPro software for a number of years now along with Venna Instrments Pro and MIR. I was using VEPro 5 on a Mac Pro desktop under Yosemite, and recently updated to Sierra (10.12.6). I also purchased VEPro 6 upon initial realease, and have tested out practically every version since its release. I still till this day cannot get version 6 to work properly on any Mac or OSX system without continuous ranodm crashes. Never had these kind of crashes under version 5 and still don't. Howver, version 5 seems to be quite laggy under Sierra now.

I've now sent a couple of dozen crash logs in the past six months or so regarding VEPro 6 crashes, but not sure if anyone is actually even reading them, no less addressing any of the current problems with the software. As a professional musician/composer, I use some of the top audio software on the Mac, and VEPro 6 is the only software that crashes so often. Even after multiple system installs on multiple SSD drives, reinstalls of the program, updates to the program, rebuilding the preferences each time from scratch, nothing seems to help. At this point, I cannot understand how anyone can consider this professional software. Even simply loading various blank templates, with nothing more than a few instances of Kontakt and Venna Instruments Pro loaded, and no sounds whatsoever, it still randomly crashes for no apparent reason.

If someone would read all the crash logs that I have sent, I'm sure they would be able to determine by now what are causing these issues. Software companies today need to realize that many of their users and supporters rely on the software from day to day to get their work done. I have tried everything I can to be as helpful as possbile in trouble shooting these issues, but am tired of nothing being done. I will say again, verison 5 does not have these issues (although it does have a few of its own). If the programmers cannot get the software working correctly for the Mac platform, then maybe they should only release updates for Windows and forget about the Mac all together. At this point, I am ready to switch back to PC anyway, considering Apple's lack of support for their desktop line and professional users. I would just like to know where things stand today so I know how to proceeed in the future.
