Ok it was not really planned, but when I was on the way to finish my current project I found out that I missed Mozarts Brthday just for 3 Days. Here is what it is all about:
Mozarts Duet "La ci darem la mano" (from Don Giovanni KV 527 I,7) is one of the most catchy earworms in musical history. And yes I was "impudent" enough to try this operatic duet with samples as it is written.
W.A.Mozart: Duet "La ci darem la mano"
(Dimensionstrings, historic woodwinfs and natural horns, synchronstage-venu and non VSL-sample-Singers (Soloists of Prage))
And if you suffer to much, take this as undeniable argument, that we need more than the "a" and "u" Vowels for the musical beautiful VSL-Soloists.
However since this recording left me in some doubts if we are already in the position to enjoy most ingenius Operatic composers like Mozart, I felt that perhaps a little help from other composers might help to show how much we all enjoy what Mozart has spent us with his music.
So here you will find a couple of the compositions based on "La ci darem" not only the well known Chopin Concertvariations op.2 I already presented here some time ago there are a lot interesting composer often rich inspired by Mozarts Duet:
Bartolomeo Campagnoli: Air varie op.7,2 La ci darem la mano for 2 Volins.
(Here in Synchronstage venu with the VSL Soloviolin combined with the Embertone Joshua-Bell-Violin)
L.v.Beethoven: Variation on La ci darem la mano WoO 28 f 2 Oboes Englishhorn.
(all VSL in Synchronstage venu)
Franz Danzi: Potpurri 2 on La ci darem la mano f. Clarinet and Orchestra
(all VSL in Synchronstage venu)
Francesco Calegari: Variazioni sopra la ci darem for Guitar
(VSL Gutar, Synchronstage-venu)
N.C.Bochsa: Air varie op.73,2 La ci darem la mano (Harp)
(VSL Harp, Synchronstage-venu)
If you want to complete the list to know the most available compositions based on this duet listen to further pianocompositions on the same theme here: http://klassik-resampled.de/lacidarem
I hope you like at least some of the presented recordings enough, to keep tolerant for my impudence to try my samples even with such well known ingenius operativ music 😳
