  • Little Synchron Strings Party

When I got the first part of Synchron Strings 1, I wrote some notes just to play around with the different articulations and to discover the new library. Today we got the last part, the double basses, complete.
As a “little party”, to celebrate this milestone, here:

with a big “thank you” and congratulations to the VSL team!

  • Hi MMKA,

Simply wonderful. A lovely string sound in all articulations. 'Playing around' with some notes can be very much worth the while... A little piece of delicious music with some hint to Brahms' Ungarian Dances.

Well done and thanks fo sharing,

    Jos

This piece is very attractive. It kept my interest throughout. The sound is great. Was this the default room mix plus mid mics? A charming composition. Congratulations!

  • Thank you, Jos and Paul, for your reactions.

Paul, you asked me, what I used.

    • I used the Surround to Stereo mix from the Extra Projects, including the Vienna Suite Pro settings.
    • I don't know anymore if I changed the volume of some microphones (I worked on it spread over several weeks). If you want, I can send you printscreens from the mixer settings.
    • I used also a little Miracle in the master.

  • No need to go to any extra work. That was enough info to get an idea as to what you were using. I just bought the stereo version of SyS, not the full surround version.

Your piece has a marvelous surround quality. It sounds to me as if I am in the middle of the group with the players all around me. Quite remarkable.

And as I previously mentioned, the composition itself is very attractive. Congratulations again!
