  • Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy on Yamaha CFX

Today I installed the Yamaha CFX and started to play. Instead of saying something about this piano I just want to share a little piece of Felix Mendelssohn-Bartoldy, his Lied ohne Worte op.62 number 1.
I used the Intimate Room-Mix preset and some compression (a preset for the Vienna Imperial), to lift up the volume of the soft parts a little.
I hope you enjoy the pianosound as much as I really do.

    Lied ohne Worte Op.62:1

Absolutely lovely!  I love the playing, the composition and the sound of the piano.  Good job!

    Best,

This performance was just marvelous. I found myself immediately set free of my day to day concerns and anxieties and just totally absorbed into the music. Bravo!

  • Hi Marcus,

This is a fabulous performance, both in midi and in piano sound. That it is a so called mock-up is no longer audible. The playing sounds so natural in all aspects, that the word 'virtual' is obsolete here.

    Many congratulations!

    Jos

  • Thank your, Jerry, Paul and Jos, for your reactions. You will understand: I'm very glad with the Yamaha CFX. Jos, last week I let it be heared by a piano student of mine. What she said came very close to what you wrote. "You hear just a very beautiful piano, and nothing "computer like". "

Excellent showcase for the piano MMKA...so much so, I am probably going to buy it after hearing this. VSL owe you a commission...😉
