  • Synchron Player Blacklisted in Cubase and Nuendo

I am running the latest Cubase and Nuendo, and the first time I try to open the program it tells me that the Synchron Player has been blacklisted.  I cannot reactiviate them within the Plug-In Manager. I get a serious error requesting me to quit with a Crash Dump file.  Has this happened to anyone else?

The Synchron player is still listed in the VST rack area, but trying to add it causes an error.  I am stumped.

    Please help.

    Todd

  • Hi Todd.

That's weird. Please send the dump file to support@vsl.co.at, we will take a look.

Which vresion of Cubase, which OS and which version of Synchron Player is that?

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul...

    I am on Windows 10 version 1803

    Synchron Player version 1.0.909

    Cubase 9.5.30

    Nuendo 8.2

This is on my laptop, for what its worth, I have not tried at home yet on my desktop; I do most of my work on laptop.  I will send the crash dumps now.

I installed Synchon Piano and FX Strings using the download manager should i have used the synchron library manager? Maybe I did something wrong during the install? I installed on my desktop first, then copied libraries to laptop and installed the Sychron Player from myDownloads.

    Thank you...

    Todd

  • I had that problem too in Cubase and Reaper. I updated the eLicenser software which fixed the Reaper problem, and let me manually whitelist it in Cubase.

  • Hooray!  It didn't work until I ran the eLicenser Control Center in Administrative Mode, then I was able to de-blacklist the libraries.

I have a new problem now sadly. Only the FX Strings I is showing up under Factory. Both libraries are listed in the database directory. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the suggestion that helped me resolve this.

    Hi Todd,

I also answered your mail to support@vsl.co.at

There is a dedicated SYNCHRON PIANOS Software available in your Software Downloads.

    Paul

  • Hello,

I've also encountered this issue. I tried to re-install the Synchron Player and reactivate the plugins whereupon Cubase crashed.

    I am using Cubase 9.5.0 (build 55) 64-bit. OS is Windows 10.

    Any suggestions?

EDIT! Tried to update Cubase to 9.5.30 Build 192. Now the plugins are not blacklisted but Cubase still crashes when i try to enable the VST.

    Thanks, Best Regards

  • Hi johnny.eriksson,

Sorry to hear that.  Please send the crash dump file to support@vsl.co.at, we will take a look.

  • Hey Paul

Same here, unfortunately. But I'm missing the Synchron Strings, which don't have a dedicated player?!
Just see the FX Strings in the player.

  • Hi musicbase.

The Synchron Player is available with Synchron FX Strings I right now.

We are preparing the download for the re-packed sample content for our other Synchron Series products, it will become available as soon as possible (in the next days). When the sample content is released, the access to the Synchron Player will be available for all Synchron Series users. Another download is necessary to make this combination work.
Of course you will be contacted as soon as this is the case.

@jhohnny-erikssson: I wonder what's going on with Cubase there.... can you please send the crash report to support@vsl.co.at? No troubles on our test setups with Cubase, and these are the only reports so far...

    Best,
    Paul

  • ok, ofc!! Totally forgot that it may be not ready yet ;-)
    Thanks a lot!

On another PC I experience the same crash issue as Todd has, I've emailed my crashlogs already.

    Have a nice day!

@Paul Yes. I've sent in a case (276852) 6 days ago with the Cubase crash logs but I still have not gotten any reply 😞
