  • Keyswitches in Dorico

    Hi,

I am using Dorico 2 with VSL. So the expressions "pizz., arco, stacc."are working fine. But how is it possible to take affect keyswitches with "Sordino, Portamento, Trill" for playing? Is it possible to get the keyswitches during entering with midi keybopard? Or is it at least possible, to edit the expressions afterwards?

    Regards Wolfgang

  • I don't know about MIDI entry but the new Playing Techniques creation and editing features in Dorico 2 might be helpful. You can create a 'Sordino' playing technique in Write Mode and in Play Mode edit the VSL Expression Map to connect 'Sordino' to the correct VSL keyswitch.

  • Hi, How can I create a playing technique in Dorico? In Play Mode there are techniques as „sordino“: how can I connect them? Thanks

  • You would do this with Expresion Maps

Dorico, Notion, Sibelius, StudioOne, Cubase, Staffpad VE Pro, Synchon, VI, Kontakt Win11 x64, 64GB RAM, Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, August Forster 190
  • Hi, in expression maps there are some more expressions (play technics) than pizz, arco. E.g. "portamento". How can I connect them to VSL? I created "Glissando", Keyswitch 60. How to connect?
