Hi,
I own Vienna Ensemble 5 and was thinking of upgrading but to be honest I haven't used my Ensemble licence in a while and now I'm on Mac... I have an Imac 2012 quad core and a Macbook Pro 2017 also quad core... The problem with Mac is the peripherals... I was thinking of using a thunderbolt 2 between them as a network but I'm wondering if this is doable or if I should get the usb-c ethernet connection and go through a gigabit modem I own... any advice on this? what works, what doesn't?
Thnx

I think this should work. I just tried connecting my iMac and Macbook Air via TB and it was fine. In the System Preferences>Network panels I used fixed addresses for both: 192.168.1.1 <--> 192.168.1.110 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
If you try this, let us know how it goes.

Awesome Leigh, thanx... I'll try it out tomorrow and report back after a few tests.

Being curious, I just tried it with DP on the Airbook running the VEP plugin and VEP Server on the iMac and it worked!
