  • Cubase tutorial projects don't work for me

Just got Vienna Ensemble SE Volumes 1,2,1plus,2plus, and I'm trying out the 3 supplied Cubase tutorial projects with Cubase 9.5.20.

I see that they are Cubase 5.5.1 projects and do not include Expression Maps, so they are pretty out of date.
All 3 projects give errors on load as follows:

    01 Special Edition Classic Tutorials\03 Cubase\Decision_Day.cpr
The plug-in "VSL Compressor x64" could not be found for Insert 1 Channel "VSTOutputChannel"!
The plug-in "VSL Master Equalizer x64" could not be found for Insert 2 Channel "VSTOutputChannel"!
The plug-in "VSL Multiband" could not be found for Insert 3 Channel "VSTOutputChannel"!
The plug-in "VSL Analyzer x64" could not be found for Insert 4 Channel "VSTOutputChannel"!

    01 Special Edition Classic Tutorials\03 Cubase\Hannibals_Elephants.cpr
The plug-in "VSL Multiband" could not be found for Insert 1 Channel "VSTOutputChannel"!

    03 Cubase\Special_Edition_Demo_01.cpr
The plug-in "VSL Compressor x64" could not be found for Insert 1 Channel "VSTOutputChannel"!
The plug-in "VSL Multiband" could not be found for Insert 2 Channel "VSTOutputChannel"!
The plug-in "VSL Equalizer x64" could not be found for Insert 3 Channel "VSTOutputChannel"!

Where can I find these missing plug-ins?

The Readmefirst.rtf specifies the following requirements:

    Special Edition Demo 01 requires:
    Special Edition Volume 1&2
    Vienna Suite
    Vienna Instruments / Vienna Ensemble

    Hannibal´s Elefants requires:
    Special Edition Volume 1&2
    Special Edition Volume 1&2 PLUS
    Vienna Instruments / Vienna Ensemble

    Decision Day requires:
    Special Edition Volume 1&2
    Vienna Instruments PRO
    Vienna Suite
    Vienna Instruments / Vienna Ensemble

So, the first two should be OK but I would need Vienna Instruments Pro to handle "Decision Day".
    Is this correct?

    Regards, Richard.

    Hi Richard,

Yes, those tutorial files are "classic" pieces 😊

You will need a demo license of Vienna Suite PRO, which also works for the original Vienna Suite Software, available here, once you have ordered the demo license.

These demo licenses work for 30 days/30 starts. Once the 30 starts are used up, you can recharge them as often as you like by clicking "Maintenance" in the eLicenser Control Center (within 30 days).

    Best,
    Paul
