  • WAVES licenses are not recognized

After "upgrading" to High Sierra, Vienna Ensemble 6 doesn't recognize my WAVES licenses on the USB dongle. Is there a way to fix this?

    Thanks

  • I have the same problem.

  • Hi,

VE Pro actually does not check licenses for third party plug-ins, it just has to briefly open them in the background during plug-in validation and the Waves plug-in itself checks for a valid license during this process.

Unfortunately, we have no influence on this whatsoever - have you also tried to contact Waves in this matter?

    Best, Marnix

  • I figured out what happened. Waves upgraded my Waves Gold V.9 to V.10 automatically. (They did that when I was installing some new plugins.)  I still have both (9 and 10), but other DAWs and Hosts that use VSTs or componants (like Vienna) and trying to scan for v10 lincense.

Update you WUP plan or use the WAVEs Central app and uninstall all v10 plugins. After I uninstalled 10, I did have to reinstall my new plugins I bought.

You could also go to    Mac HD/Library/Audio/PluginsComponants    and move WaveShell v10 to the unused folder. Same Goes for the VST folder.
