  • Upgrade CS I & II to Synchron Questions

    Hi,

I have Chamber Strings I and II full libraries.

    I read this page: https://www.vsl.co.at/en/Synchron_Package/Synchron_Chamber_Strings

    1. Does the price of 145 euro include upgrading  -both- CS I -and- CS II to Synchron Chamber Strings or is this just for CS I?

    2. Can you provide some information as to how you created the 2nd Violin section? What I mean is that I thought that the original recordings for CS were only for a single set of violins. Did you use the same players and then edit the same sample content to create 'new' players at a different 'space' in the room?

Thanks in advance. Looks -very- cool.

  • Paul?

    Anyone?

  • Hi

Yes, it's just for Chamber Strings I. There are no muted strings in SY-zed Chamber Strings.

    Best,

    David

  • Thanks, David.

Can you comment on the 2nd Violins? Are they new samples? How do they differ from the 1sts?

  • Violins 2 have the same number of players as Violins 1. They have a different position on the stage thanks to MIR Pro and there are no phase issues.

    Regards,

    David

    Thanks again.

    1. But the 2nd Vlns are actually the same samples as the 1sts, right?

    2. Are there examples which show how the Synchron version improves on the 'VI Pro' version?

    Cheers,

    ---JC

  • 1. Yes, they are.

    2. The new library was conceived as a companion to Synchron Strings I. So, if you don't own this library, I don't think you need SY-zed Chamber Strings. Otherwise, they complement each other very well. As for the examples, the official demos are the only ones I know.

    David
