  • Layering 2 patches and dealing with velocity

    Hi there,

Let's say I'm layering 2 Dimension Trombone patches ('dyn_1'5s' & 'portato'). The goal is two decrease the overall crescendo amplitude by having the note starting with more intensity.

So, 'dyn_1'5s' in slot 1a, 'portato' in slot 1b, crossfade between both slots deactivated.

I'd like the 'portato' velocity (slot 1b) to be limited to the max value of 108 (to avoid the strongest attacks) whatever the global note velocity is. Or maybe to offset the portato velocity of 20.

Is there a way to do this while not changing anything to the first slot (1a) ? The velocity curve is not very accurate for as it's rather dealing with floor value.

    Thanks !

  • As far as I know that is not possible in VIPro. Could be a new feature in VIPro 3 (if that should come ever?)

  • Ok, thank you, that's what I guessed ;-)
