Dont have time to write a detailed post, but thought I might share another piece. Im starting to get much better at this.
This is the first 4.5 minutes of a theme to an indie project, Ill edit the post with all the details this weekend.
The percussion used at the beginning is from both VSL and Cinesamples (Cineperc), as VSL does not have the punch I needed it to have. Even Cinesamples doesnt do the trick, so Ill have to try my hand at some EQing and compression to see if I can add some oomph.
The Ethereal choir in the middle comes from a sound library called Ethera from Zero-g. A beautiful, lush, airy choir that really adds, well, as the name implies, that etherial quality if you are looking for it. They sell 4 different libraries in this series and I have just barely begun to scratch the surface of these. They are $100 a piece, very affordable and good quality for my ears.
Finally, the two flutes used in the middle bit of the piece are from cinesamples Winds. I am using an Irish Flute and a rennaisance flute.
I think all together, I have 31 different instruments that are loaded and used in this piece, the majority are from VSL.
