  • Matrix Navigating with CC Values

    Hi all,

Could pls someone explain me the CC-Values. I have a VE Matrix and would like to control it from within the score, setting a (tilde)C... value with TechText shortcut. Now, it works perfectly for the value (tilde)C4,0 and (tilde)C4,127. This means it goes from Matrix-Cell-A1(C4,0) to the last Matrix-Cell (C4,127). But how can I get the other cells on the X-Axis and how can I get to the Y-Axis?

Thanks for helping, I'm new to this btw.

  • Hi Paul,

Below the matrix, you have two lines which indicates the controle of the x-axis and y-axis.

You can chose the way to controle them (keyswitch, CC, etc.) with the biutton beside. As you can see I have chose CC3 for x-axis and CC4 for y-axis.

If you go with your mouse over thoise lines you can see the values which inbetween which a certain position of this axis is chosen.

to get the cell selected you want at a certain moment of your project, you need to programm in your sequencerproject the values of both x-axis and y-axis. As you can see in this example: both CC Values are 0 so the first position of X-axis (CC3=0) and the first position of y-axis  (CC4=0) together selects here the pLeg-Patch.

    I hope that helps.

  • Hi,

Thanks a lot. Especially for the values to read when moving mouse over. This helps. I now can navigate on the x-axis without problems. But how to combine the x and y-axis in the TechText to select a specific cell? I'm still using the ~Cx,x indication to navigate. Maybe I'm wrong doing so but it functions without problems.

It would be perfect to navigate on a matrix with x-y-axis. I tried to combine two  ~Cx,x in the same text line for the same note (Sibelius), but it doesn't work. Also tried with two different  ~Cx,x on the same note, doesn't work either.  Maybe you could give me another hint. Thanks alot!

    Bests,

    Paul
