Here is my latest Synchron Strings Exploration after my previous excercises finally something which characterizes one of my main interests, to explore classical Music which was never lrecorded before:

Robert Kahn (1865-1951): Serenade "Aius der Jugendzeit"(from Youth),

Robert Kahn was just 21 Years old when Clara Schumann wrote her enthousiastic notes about Robert Kahns Violin Sonata in her famous Diary and Johannes Brahms - after listening among other pieces an early Pianoquartet by Kahn - invited Robert Kahn to study with him in Vienna composition an piano (while Brahms hated teaching and never invited anyone else before and after). R.Kahn was not older than 25 when Hans von Bülow premiered three years later Robert Kahns Serenade with the Berlin Philhamonic Orchestra.

But since R.Kahn lost in the following years his interest in conducting and changed completly to performing, composing and publishing Lieder, Chambermusic, Choirmusic and Pianomusic he never published this Serenade for Orchestra So it nearly would have been lost, if he would not made an arrangement for 5 Winds and 5 Strings for a Concert in 1911. Based on the Manuscript of that Arrangement I produced this recording.

Since I have made a first recording with the VSL Cube just of the III.Movement in 2010 for a Biographic Dictionary Project of the University Hamburg you can now compare at least for the III.Movement the sound of Cube and Synchron in the same composition. And imho at least the appealing musical realism is defenitly much more on the Synchron side.

Considering the discussion about Stephens Tschaikowsky Excerps it would be worth to mention that I did not used any tremolo patch but always fast Synchronshorts which seem to me very good to get metric correct and therefore more aggressive tremoli.

I hope at least some here are openminded enough just to have fun with the unknown Music even if 'I' have produced the recording and used 'Synchron Strings' for that.
