    Hello,

    I currently have VE 6 (not pro).

    On the website page to purchase pro it says:

    "Please note that you need a valid license for Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 or Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 on your ViennaKey to apply the Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 license upgrade.

    The software installation of Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 will overwrite Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 or Vienna Ensemble Pro 5. All Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 or Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 projects are fully compatible with Vienna Ensemble Pro 6."

    Can I purchase VE Pro 6 without having Pro 4 or Pro 5? I would like to go pro, but am not sure if I can from the free verison that I currently have.

    This reply is not official, but if I understand you correctly, unless you have a previous version (4 or 5) of VE Pro you do not have an upgrade path to VE Pro 6. You would have to buy VE Pro 6 at the regular price, not the upgrade price.

    Again, if I understand you correctly, you only have the free version of Vienna Instruments and Vienna Ensemble that comes with any instrument purchase.

    Alright - thank you very much for your help.  Yes, you are correct, I currently have the free version that comes with Vienna Instrument Pro.

    Is this the full version purchase page?

    I did'nt see any differentiaion between an upgrade from 4 or 5 and a first time Pro purchase.

    I just want to make sure I don't purchase an uprade path I cannot use.  Any assistance in finding/confirming the exact product I need to get 6 Pro wouldl be appreciated.

    As you don't have a previous version of VE PRO, you can simply get VE PRO 6 straight!
