    I have a server project which has 43 instances in it. 

    When opening the server project the instances load up which takes about 5 mins and then it says configuring project for another 5-8 minutes. It does eventually finish loading but it just hangs there at 93% for that time as if it is stuck. 

    Is this normal? Can I adjust something so that I don't have to wait for this?

    I think I have found the cause to this - it's most likely caused by a failed Windows update which has had knock on effects.
