    Hi there,

    I wanted to say thank you to the entire VSL team.

    I bought the synchron-ized Appassionata and Chamber Strings, these are awesome libraries! The re-editing is amazing, totally new libraries with a modern, hollywood touch. I dare to say that these are the new Hollywood Strings, but more playable.

    I have only one feature missing, which I really liked in VI PRO. It was the "interval map" algorithm. I think it could be a very handy feature for the marcato attacks. Now we have the attacks on every note triggered by velocity. With "interval map" I could only make the first starting note more pronounced (while setting the reset to the same value of the legatos).

    @VSL: Are there plans to integrate this feature? And also maybe the humanize algorithms?

    And I have a quick tip for the synchon-ized Chamber Strings users who want the "molto espressivo" layer always available like in the old library. Simply load another instance, set VelX to 127 with no controller assigned and control Expression with your preferred CC. That's so easy! Now you can have "molto espressivo" whenever you want for that extra portion of expressiveness.

    Would be nice to have some feedback on this. Many thanks in advance.

    So far I like Synchron Player. My new wish-list:

    • Humanize algorithms (for example for runs)
    • Interval map algorithm (as additional controller option besides speed or velocity)
    • Stretch function (for additional legato and portamento speeds, maybe even more as in VI Pro)
    • Option for defining the dimension controller thresholds in numbers like in VI Pro, where you could define at which point of 127 you want to trigger another patch


    Will there also be an update for the synchron-ized products? I am missing the "slur" patches for fast runs.

    Will there be muted versions for the synchron-ized Chamber and Appasionata Strings in the future, too? Maybe as extended libraries?

    More features will be added over time, but we won't tap in the announcement-trap again...

    .....Paul did I understand right that you (+VSL) "plan" to make no announcements any more. 😛

     

    To be serious: What matters, is what we finally get, and it seems that there are enough waiting for what ever you will announce or not.
