  • Vienna Instruments Pro: sample note

    Hello everyone,

a question concerning Vienna Instruments Pro:

is there any possibility of changing a sample position in the keyboard without using Edit>Octave or Edit>Semitone? Working with percussion instruments I often need to assign a different midi note to a sample, i.e. move a wood-block rolls from C3 to D#4 and leave the other samples unchanged.

    Thanks

    e.

  • Just create another identical matrix (copy) but in the second matrix Make D# 4 the woodblock rolls then just keyswitch back and forth between the matrices.

  • Thanks for the tip Jasensmith,

Writing for percussions, the problem is through putting various articulations into the same staff line. This is useful when you are using an istrument with a single staff line such as bass drum.

A pity it's not possible to apply control to Edit>Octave and Edit>Semintone. It would have been easier using the same staff lines with vasious articulation and also better for memory and cpu usage: with the matrix solution I should load a number of samples.
