    Hello all!

This is my first time posting here and I want to say how grateful I am to everyone at Vienna Symphonic Library for all the years of hard work and fun you have put in to creating these masterpiece libraries. Realism and believability are very important to me and now my projects are truly coming alive! I have been using VSL for a few years now and always look forward to new videos from Paul and hearing what new tips and techniques are available. Keep up the great work, gang!

The quality of these libraries has enabled me to make a huge step and put myself out there for works on commission. I invite anyone and everyone to come visit my website and listen to some samples of my work! I have enjoyed creating them and look forward to using these products every day!

    Cheers!

  • Hi Sam,

I've listened to your demo piece and it has a lot of potential. The same goes for other samples on your website. However, you have to practise a lot with the VSL samples to make them shine as they were recorded. To name just one issue: you use a kind of staccato in the oboe part, but it's duraction is far too short (a staccato is already short, so you don't need to shorten it again). When you choose a longer value, it will have the necessary time to 'ring out' (release) and will sound a lot more beautiful. Now it seems like chopped off.

But the main idea is good and pleasing to tyhe ear. Keep practising!

  • I appreciate the feedback and the encouragement, Jos.  Thank you!  I would love to hear samples of your work if you have any available.
