Vienna Imperial has been my trusty sidekick for many years as my practice instrument. I felt almost guilty when I installed Yamah CFX, which I love BTW. Still itโs a great pleasure to open Vienna Imperial again and just play. I think Iโll always use it, and it still amazes me, especially since itโs nearly a decade old. What is really surprising is that nobody else seems to realise the advantage for pianists of the huge number of velocity layers, so the only viable competition is Synchron Pianos. I can get all sorts of tone colours that I just canโt get on pianos with 20 velocity layers. So Vienna Imperial, I think we still have a future together.
