  • Setting Tuning Scales in the VI PLayer via CC

To make sure that all my VI Players are set up the way I want, I initialize them via CCs at the beginning of each track.

I can send CCs for Volume, Humanization Settings (Solo Instruments vs. Ensembles), Velocity XF On/Off, Reverb ON/OFF, Reverb Wet and so forth. In Sibelius I can change the corresponding Controller Values easily via script, if I want for example the Reverb "Off" or less "wet". This procedure saves a lot of editing.

Now I would like to set the "Matrix Scale" and "Root Key" as well via controllers, but so far I haven't found the possibility to switch those settings via CC.

Is it possible to add this feature?Or is ti there and I missed it.

Regarding Tuning Scales there has been some very interesting discussions and presentations going on in the forum recently and therfore I would like to explore them more in the future.

  • I kind of want to wait for the company to tell you this, but that isn't possible, no.

The idea is the tuning is for the matrix globally and if you want another tuning, switch to a matrix set up for that.
And there's actually a toggle to force all matrices to have the same tuning.

  • Thanks for your reply and sorry for my late answer.

I was suspecting that it would not be possible to switch Tuning Scales via CC. Maybe it would have made work easier than to deal with different matixes.

I reserve switching to different Matrixes for different instument setups (i.e. unison, divisi, solo).

So every tuningscale I would want to use would double my number of total matrixes used.

    Anyway, thanks for the reply.
