  • Looking for the right articulation

This is a piece I started working on for giggles...

Im only working with the special edition libraries, with the exception of special edition 2 plus which I have yet to purchase.

The melody comes in with a flute ensemble, backed up by strings and a clarinet counter melody plays behind the flute.

Currently, Im using appasionata strings, but what I really want is that slightly scratchier sound from the strings (the sound you get when the bow is moved across the strings at a slower speed). I dont know what this articulation is called, or whether I have it. If anyone has any suggestions for the strings or other improvements.

I havent done any mixing or post production on this, nor are the dynamics dialed in, and that dang piccolo is way too loud (for some reason, the special edition piccolo is unrealistically louder than everything else).

    Celes
