  • Cubase Mod wheel

Having trouble getting Vienna Instruments Pro to see my Mod wheel (CC1).
Cubase responds to it - but is Cubase stopping it from getting to Vienna in some way?
Is there something I need to enable?  The pitch wheel gets through OK.

    Regards.

  • The mod wheel on CC1 is seen when I remove the VSL-supplied expression map from Cubase. However, now I have no expression map!  There was a "Controller CC1" entry in the output mapping. I'm a bit puzzled by this as I can't find anything in the documentation about it.

  • Hello richardjenkins!

As far as I know, if a Cubase expression map with CC data is loaded, the CC numbers that are included in the expression map are disabled from live input.

If no expression map is loaded, I can't see any reason, why CC1 shouldn't work. Can you record it to your Cubase track?

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Andi,

I've reassigned the CC number sent from my mod wheel from CC1 to CC115  and it now works - even with the expression map loaded.  I guess the expression map was using CC1.

I'm new to MIDI and electronic keyboards, but slowly getting there.

    Regards, Richard.
