  • VEP version 6.0.17226 funtions

I just installed this new version this morning, and VEP isn't working. Tried to load a metaframe of 10 instances of K5 + Synchron Perc. It was blocking after full load of the Metaframe, now it is blocking during loading of the !Synchron instance. Any others with issues?

  • What does "blocking" mean?

  • I recently did the updates for Vienna Ensemble 6.x and now my instances of VE are not receiving MIDI from my DAW.  My DAW (Cubase 5.5.3) recognizes MIDI activity on all my MIDI devices.  All routing is correct inside both Cubase and VE.  I have even tried using VIPro on individual intrument tracks within Cubase and I am having the same issue.  I have not made any other driver or software updates and my system has been working without any problems up until the updates were installed.  I have projects coming due and I need this fixed.  Any suggestions are happily received.  I even reinstalled VE and VIPro.

  • I rolled back to an earlier version of VE from October 2018.  I am now using VE 6.0.17181 and my MIDI signal is successfully being recieved and I can continue working on my projects.  I look forward to the recent update issues being resolved and I know the VSL team will ocme through for us.  Keep up the great work, everyone!

  • I recently discovered another factor, and likely the prime factor, behind the MIDI reception issues I have been having lately between my Cubase DAW and VE, VI and SY Players.  My Presonus Audio Driver for the Audiobox USB that I use was the culprit.  I rolled back to the legacy driver for my product and I am now experiencing nominal functions in my production system.  I wanted to share this in case it is useful for anyone in the future.

    Cheers,

  • I'm quite stuck at the moment. With the latest version of VEP6 and Synchron Player I have the same issue of yours during the loading of my template, or crashes when using a Synchron Player instruments during a mixdown. If I work with previous versions I can work but I have Cubase crashing when Synchron Player drums start during the mixdown.
I'm on Cubase 6.5.5, I start to blame this version getting too old..

@FabioA, I am using Cuba’s 5.5.3 with absolutely no issues from being an older version. I have been using VIPro , VE, Vienna Suite and MIR Pro24 without issue for two years. My recent issue turned out to the driver for my Presonus Audiobox USB. I have had no issues until this past month when Presonus’ Universal Control update caused a conflict. To solve my issue, I located the original driver for my AD I/O on the Presonus site. My system now works as smoothly as I would like. So, my question to you is... 1. What are you using for your AD interface? How old is it? And, can you locate the original driver version? 2. Have you always had this issue, or is it recent? Best, Sam

  • I also had problems with this update, it corrupted my registry and I was forced to wipe my drive and restore from a Time Machine Backup. Finally back up and running.

CAUTION!!! when installing this update, make sure you have EVERYTHING BACKED UP!!!!
