  • VelXF switch on/off per articulation in Synchron Player?

    Hi

In the old VSL player it was possible to have a Global VelXF controlled by ex. CC2 and then have selected articulations using straight velocity instead. So the dynamic of the longs could be controlled by CC2 and pizzicato could be controlled via velocity.
Isn't that possible anymore in the new player?

If so I would like to know.

    Regards Stig

  • If ever this is not available, maybe an easy turnaround is to remote the VelX on/off with a CC assigned to some pad in toggle mode. If you're using Cubase and Expression maps, I guess it should be possible to implement a VelX 'on' or 'off' CC depending on articulations. That way, pizz could instantly be with played velocity i.e. Quite a long process btw ;-)

  • Hi Stig,

Select a patch and go to the EDIT tab, you will see there the "Velocity Crossfade" field, which can be set to Global, On or Off.
Take care that you select always the last entrie to the right side in a Patch tree, otherwise the parameters are not visible.

    best

  • Ahh
It was the last sentence that did it!

    Thanks a lot.

Wow, pure gold. That last sentence alone, is worthy of an entire video tutorial!  I don't think I'm the only one that might've missed this if Herb had not clued us in.

    Bowing deeply with sincere gratitude,
