    Helllo everybody!

This is our way of saying HAPPY NEW YEAR:

We have just released Vienna Smart Spheres, a sound-design tool with symphonic roots and a great twist.
=> Check out the Audio Demos right here!

You will find highly useful and tasteful presets in this new product, along with a new FX plug.in (Audio Gain) for the newest version of our Synchron Player.

We also decided to throw in some new presets for all categories of our Vienna Smart Orchestra, which is now available at a reduced price (for everybody who missed the first chance)!

Wishing you all a great start into 2019!

    Your VSL Team

  • Wasn't sure what to expect here, but there are some great sounds in the demos. I hope there will be a more detailed walkthrough video to illustrate what the library consists of and what one can do with it.

  • Im not sure I understand. I just installed the update for smart orchestra, which contains more FX presets, this update was free.

How is Smart Spheres different? Are there more FX presets than what comes with Smart Orchestra + the FX update you just made available for free?

Unfortunately, the video is...umm...its a nice 1 minute demo track, but I guess Im trying to figure out what Smart Spheres is adding (I am just now getting ready to launch Smart Orchestra and look at what was added and Ill compare with the list of FX stuffs for Smart Spheres).

Also, just a small critique, coming out with another product to sell is your way of saying Happy New Year? Not meaning to be a scrooge but...this language seemed...odd. Happy New Year, here is a thing you can buy...

Anyway, looking forward to playing with this, glad to see Vienna stepping out of their usual product line and dabbling with things that fall outside of traditional orchestral music.

EDIT: I see, these are even more FX to be used with Smart Orchestra that expand beyond the free ones in the update.

    Hi Paul -

Interesting side trip for VSL! Would it be possible to put through a longer walkthrough video that would give us a sense of how we will be programming sounds/patches in this platform - i.e., what sound sources are available as building blocks and whether there are more toolboxes to work with in addition to the FX rack ... or does one simply tweak (or extensively mangle) presets rather than building new patches from scratch?

P.S. Beard  ... no beard .... any good story there?

    Cheers, 🍺

    Craig

  • If I understand correctly, Smart Spheres is more extreme than the Hybrid part of Smart Orchestra. But a clarification would be nice, since it seems there are some overlapping zones.

    Hi everybody,

I'll sit down for a walkthrough video in the next days, I hope that will clear things up a bit.

Synchron Smart Spheres is a great collection of easy_to_use presets, but it's actually much more impressive once you see what a monster of a sample player our Synchron Player has become 😊

In general, our FX section is becoming more and more powerful, and it's great that we can offer interesting updates to existing products like Vienna Smart Orchestra and Synchron FX Strings I with the help of these tools.

Vienna Smart Spheres is a very different approach to new sounds, with an interesting mix of symphonic sounds mapped in a rather unorthodox way. These patches are a  great starting point for all kinds of FX presets, and of course you can tweak and adjust, copy and paste, synchronize and automate a lot of parameters in there. Hope I can shed more light on this in the upcoming video.

@ PaoloT: There are no overlaps in sample material between Vienna Smart Orchestra and Vienna Smart Spheres.

@Craig: My mother-in-law is not too fond of my beard, so that's the "best and cheapest x-mas present" I can make.  Not such a good story, but it works great every year!

    Best,
    Paul

    Hi,

If you are still on the fence about Vienna Smart Spheres, check out the little Walkthrough Video I uploaded.

I hope you get a good idea about the structure and presets that come with this great product.... Of course there's be a lot more to talk about, so please let me know your questions and input!

    Best,
    Paul

  • Paul, thanks for the very informative walkthrough. Smart Spheres will be a lot of fun to play with and a great source of "base layer" inspiration upon which to layer more conventional orchestral arrangements (to say nothing of a more contemporary sound with synths and guitars). Yes, a different approach to sound design and one that I think will generate a living, breathing FX type backdrop or harmonic/chromatic foundation of great detail and depth with ease.

P.S. You are a wise and frugal man at Christmas time ...

    Cheers,

    Craig
