Chipset compatibility with VEPro

I'm just about to build a new DAW. Last time I did I had many issues with VEPro having audio dropouts, glitches, pops and clicks. After several back and forths with support, the best guess was that the specific chipset of my LAN connection was one that didn't play nice with VEPro. 

So is there a list of chipsets known to have issues, somewhere, so I can avoid repeating this problem?

I'm afraid there is no list, but modern Intel chips are usually the choice of our users. The faster and the more cores, the better.
