Allow for 64 channel audio output of VEPro 6 in REAPER 5+

Hi there,

I was wondering whether it would be possible to output up to 64 channels via VEP in REAPER? As the DAW now supports 64 channel audio channel output, which will allow for even more options for routing within REAPER.

Would this have to be done by a VEP update or a REAPER update?

I didn't check with our developers, but AFAIK, this 32 channel limitation is due to the plug-in standard.

Hi there Paul,

It appears that the 32-channel limit isn't a limit of VST3 or VST as they#re able to have more than that in Cubase, and the standard VST and VST3 format can have more than 32-channel outputs in REAPER too.

I've attached a screenshot showing ReaSurround, a VST plugin inside REAPER that can have up to 64 inputs and outputs.

Could developers please add this in future for both VE Pro 6 and 7 please? As it would condense things even further in terms of creating a template!

Hi All,

Just to let everyone and @paul know that it is indeed possible to have more than 32 outputs in VEP's plugin in REAPER.

If you change the total outputs in VEP to 64, it gives up to 64 outputs in VEP's plugin too inside REAPER which is good news!

It looks like that the plugin name itself just says (32 out) which isn't the case since you can have more ouptuts than specified in the plugin name.

I've attached Screenshots to show everything I've found out.
