    Hello, I have constant problems with VEP, sometimes it is OK for a while and then crackles even why using a few instruments, espiecailly Spitfire instruments. I am on the Newest Retina Mac and my VEP is on Windows 10Pro InelXeon CPU D-1518@2.20 GHz. RAM 128 GB.  Network is LAN 1000 and I am already desperate. Is it possible the VEP machine is too slow? It was intended to be portable.

    Ping from my DAW to my VEP is time=0.060 ms

    My sound soemtimes sounds like a tremolo when I play the instrument. I have no more ideas. I even took my new ethernet cable to connect to my computers with no switch.

    And what is interesting - on my VEP when I minimize window with VEP to the DOCK it seem it works much much better, maybe even well

    Is everything updated? VEP? OS? Spitfire?

    Soundcard have the latest drivers installed?

    You get the same results when you adjust the buffer size?

    You're using SSD drives right?

    Unfortunately, from the information you've given, it could be any number of things causing your problems but I'd start with updates.

    Or maybe Un-update?  Perhaps something you've installed recently is the culprit.  Did it work fine before?  Maybe revert your machines to an earlier time when everything was working?

    If none of that works, then you'll have the painstaking task of trying to isolate the problem.

    This is so strange, but problem seems to be solved. The only thing I had to do was to MINIMIZE the VEP window on the PC. 

    Whenever I open the WIndow, crackles again.

    I connect to this PC using vnc:// from my Macosx - when it is minimised nothing moves on the screen. Is it possilbe that PC is killing whole bandwitch for just sending the picture bac to Mac???
