Hello,

I have installed the VST3 verson of Syncrhon Player (as per suggestion here in the forum) and everything loads fine *until I press a key on my master keyboard* - at that point it crashes Cubase, every time, all the time.

Win 8.1 64 bit - AMD Phenom X4 16 gb RAM

Cubase 10 PRO 10.0.15 (latest as of this writing)

Synchron player -WIN-1.1.1497

Any suggestions on how to resolve this will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much!

UPDATE (2/24/2019) - problems is now constantAs described above.  I have updated both the Synchron player and Cubase to the latest versions (as of this writing) but nothing helped.  I can't use the Synchron player because the moment I press a key on the keyboard (or try to play an exisiting MIDI track) it crashes Cubase.

Hi GP1,

Interesting,  thanks for reporting.

Did you get any crash dumps you could send to us, for investihation? Or maybe also the projects that crashed?

Best,
Paul

Hi Paul, sorry for the delay in my response.  I have just sent you an email with the project file and associated crash dumps.

Thank you!

Having the same issue. Windows 10. Everything up to date. Using Cubase 10.

I can load the Synchron Player VST 3 (Rack Instrument). When the player comes up, I can double click to load Synchron Strings or Smart Orchestra but it will crash as soon as I send it some midi data (sometimes creates a dump file, sometimes just takes down Cubase with no dump file). I can however load it within VEP6 and everything works. It does not seem to like being loaded in the DAW though.

right - I hope they fix it soon!  I have sent them the crash logs and a project file.  But, as of this writing (3/119) I haven't heard anything.

It's frustrating buying a product and not being able to use it.

Hi,

I have to apologize for those delays, it is not the style of VSL. We are all focussing on Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 right now, also on those friday nights and weekends.

As a workaround, may I suggest that you make use of the free Vienna Ensemble Software and insert Synchron Player in this practical host?

Best,
Paul

I totally understand - I just wanted to know if they got the files as I didn't get confirmation.  I know you guys are busy and these programming isses do take time to solve, for sure.  The reponse has been super quick in every communication, and I thank you all for that.

Hi Paul!

Unfortunately, this version has the same bug for me, it crashes immediately as MIDI notes are sent, either via keyboard or a pre-existing track.  Just FYI :)  - I have been using the Ensemble for now and Syncrhon works great within it.  Looking forward to PRO 7!  :)

Best wishes,

GP
