    Please dont flame the crapzilla out of me until after i get my answer : )

    I just downloaded epic orchestra 2.0 and the syncron player. Now what? I installed everything but when i click on the syncron install app it wants a package.info file or something like that. When i launch VEP Pro and then add the instrument i see the original epic orchestra but not the 2.0

    I guess im confused about the syncron player and its relation to VEP. 

    How do i play the epic orchestra 2.0 sounds?

    Im on Logic (latest version) Mac Latest version.

    So when i download the library TO3_Epic-orchestra_2_0_SPv2_w1. I get random results. Most of the library says Not Available and a few are available. So i delete everything and do it again and i get a different set of libraries are available and more are not but its not the same as the first time. 

    Confused very confused.

    Hi liquidvienna,

    I can see that you have download your license for Epic Orchestra 2.0 already, so that's fine!

    I have 2 questions for you:

    1) Did you install the Synchron Player Software yet?

    2) Did you actually INSTALL the sample content (after the download has finished)?

    If the answer is YES to both, you can

    - insert the Synchron Player directly in Logic Pro X and access those sounds. Check out these walkthrough videos, hope I can give you some insight!

    - insert Synchron Player in Vienna Ensemble PRO.

When its finished it only installs the check marked packages and nothing else. I think i did it 2 or 3 times and each time there was a different set of packages available. I have to say this is the weirdest thing i have ever seen.

    Synchron Player is NOT a Standalone Software (yet). 

    => Please insert the plug-in in your host (Sequencer or Vienna Ensemble PRO). 

    What happens if you perform the steps I described under my questions in the original post?

    I can see and use the synchron player in Cubase but it is not showing up in Logic (10.4). Anyone having trouble in Logic?

    Hi Richard, 

    Did you check in Logic's Preferences => Plug-in Manager? Sometimes a plug-in needs to be validated manually.

    HI,

    I have downloaded the Epic Orchestra as well, using the Download Manager/Installer.  Same for the Synchron player.  I use Cubase so it shows up as a VST instrument, in your case it would be i AU plugin list.

    After you launch the instrument within your DAW, if everything is properly installed, you should see the list of presets win the Synchron player.

    I will do that tonight. Last night it did not show up as a plug in. But this doesnt address why im not getting all the packages downloaded and why some say unavailable. I guess we will work one issue at a time. when i get home tonight i will double check the AU manager and see if its in there.

    Cool.. when you installed it after it was downloaded did you notice anything that said the package was unavailable?

    NO - using the download manager and following its progress until it said "FINISH" I had no error message.  I left all the default check marks as they were, except for the path, which I have a special one for all the VSL libraries.

    Unavailable could mean a faulty download (i.e. missing files due to deifferent reasons) or possibly a path error.

    yeah mine shows all the packages but some are greyed out and say not available and a few are available and checked. 

    Ill see what Paul has to say tonight after i send him the Screen shots.

    Success I figured it out, Well first off it all downloaded this time. Nothing said unavailable so it all installed. Now this part maybe my fault and lack of time to read anything LOL.. So when i download all 28 gigs, Download Manager asks, Want to install?  I say YES!!  So it presents me with the screen to check all the boxes. Curiously the Package.info is not in there, BECAUSE its in with all of the other downloaded files. So what was happening is that at the end of download managers install DM would ask me, "Do you want to delete the downloaded files?" Of course i say YES!!! 

    But it deletes the package.info file to.  So when i would launch the syncron library installer there was no package.info to find as it was gone. 

    It just seemed weird that there was an initial  28 gig download then an install of 75 gig then run Syncron installer and it creates another file of 75 gig. Its probably my fault for not reading something LOL

    Anyway it works. Thank you guys.. ORCH-ON Garth!!!

    Hi liquidvienna, 

    Congrats!

    The reason for the smaller download is the compression we applied to the downloaded installation files. Those are extracted during installation and can be deleted once the crypted sample content is installed. 

    We will hopefully add a Standalone Synchron Player soon, to avoid such misunderstandings!

    Hi Paul,

    I have a similar problem. MAC OS X 10.13.6, Logic Pro X 10.4.4, the epic orchestra file downloaded and installed. The synchron player opens up in Logic, but no instruments available. In the general settings of SP, the database shows the correct path to the content, but I don't see any instruments to choose from in the "preset" area.

    Any hints??

    You have to launch the Syncron Installer to "Register" (for lack of better terms), your new sounds with syncron player.

    So, go to the Syncron installer in Applications. When you launch Syncron installer, it will ask you for the Package.info file. That file is located in the Temp files that were extracted after you downloaded the inital 28 gig. If you clicked Delete files after download then that package.info is in the trash.  If you didnt delete them then navigate to the location where they were downloaded and find the package.info file, the syncron installer will re-install the epic orchestra 2.0 files in a drive of your choosing. Yes you are basically installing these twice. They should now show up in the syncron player in Logic.

    It may seem like a pain but the sounds are so cool i was totally ok with it.
